U-571 – Alternate Versions :

The theatrical version contained some captions before the end credits, explaining that the Enigma was, in real-life, recovered by the British Royal Navy, and not by the American Navy as portrayed in this movie. The captions have been removed on the R2 DVD.

U-571 2000 Movie – Storyline :

In the midst of World War II, the battle below the seas rages. The Nazis have the upper edge as the Allies are unable to crack their war codes. That is, until a wrecked U-boat sends out an SOS signal, and the Allies realize this is their chance to seize the ‘enigma coding machine’. But masquerading as Nazis and taking over the U-boat is the smallest of their problems. The action really begins when they get stranded on the U-boat.

U-571 Full Movie Review:

U-571 (2000) Open Matte 1080p 10bit Bluray x265 HEVC [Org DD 2.0 Hindi + DD 5.1 English] ESubs I watched this movie almost on a whim and was very impressed by the intensity of it. All of the actors in the film did a wonderful job and the music, direction, effects, and cinematography lent themselves well to the finished vision. The only thing that disappointed me however was the foreshadowing and predictability of the film. As a result of this, I gave it a 6 out of 10. I would recommend anyone who is interested in action / adventure films, especially those centering on WWII to watch it, however, do not think too hard about it while it is progressing.
