Mother/Android 2021 Movie – Storyline :
In a post-apocalyptic world rocked by a violent android uprising, a young pregnant woman and her boyfriend desperately search for safety.
Georgia and her boyfriend Sam go on a treacherous journey to escape their country, which is caught in an unexpected war with artificial intelligence. Days away from the arrival of their first child, the couple must face No Man’s Land, a stronghold of the android uprising, in hopes of reaching safety.
Review of Mother/Android 2021 Netflix Movie:
Chloe Grace Moretz tries her best to save Mother Android but she should have read the script before taking the role. A pregnant woman, Chloe, must survive in a world of an AI robot revolt. She and her boyfriend travel the desolate landscape while being attacked by unhappy man made machines. For some unknown reason, they need to make it to Boston. The storyline is horrible with a ridiculous ending. Watch The Children of Men instead.
#ChloëGraceMoretz is a fine actress, unfortunately she does not get good roles in good movies that much lately. The line of mediocre to bad movies grows with every year passed (The 5th Wave, Suspiria, Shadow in the Cloud, Brain on Fire) – her performance is always solid to good and sometimes really good, but the movies are not. Whereas one could at least argue that Shadow in the Cloud was well played by her and got an experimental story line, Mother/Android is just a ripp-off of ideas from other movies of the genre, with a rather limited budget and a very boring execution. Like the zombie genre the post-apocalyptic genre drowns in average and bad productions directed and produced by wanna-be movie makers. This is just bad and plain boring filled with every cliche imaginable of the genre and zeitgeist. Exact rate: 2 + 1 bonus point for Chloë Grace Moretz performance.
