Mary Magdalene 2018 Movie – Storyline :
Judea, 33 AD. Mary is a faithful young girl from the village of Magdala (close to Galilea Lake) unsure to follow the traditions and destiny reserved to the women, living only as wife and mother, in her wish to be free. We are big fans of the Holy Trinity… and of course bow down to the Lord daily and not just on Sundays. But we have struggled with Mary and her prostitution many times over the eyars I don’t mind admitting to you. What we didn’t like was not that they swept under the rug the fact that she was a lady of the night, but they revised Biblical truth. Nonetheless an emotional movie.
Mary Magdalene could have been a great well to revisit a classical Biblical story but sadly the director and writers did it in the most boring way possible because it is a film the doesn’t have a lot about the role of women in the live of Jesus. It should have been better
