Movie: Confession of Murder (English title) / I’m A Killer (literal title)
Directed by Jung Byung-gil, starring Jung Jae-young and Park Si-hoo. It is about a police officer who is haunted for failing to capture a serial killer 15 years back, and returns to the case after a novelist publishes the book I Am the Murderer, claiming responsibility for the crimes.
The film is Jung’s first mainstream feature; he first drew notice for his 2008 documentary film about Korean stunt men, Action Boys. Produced by Dasepo Club co. Ltd, and distributed by Showbox, it was released on November 8, 2012, and ran for 119 minutes.
The film was remade in 2017 as Memoirs of a Murderer by Yu Irie.

Confession of Murder 2012 Movie – Storyline :
After the statute of limitation expires on the murders he has committed, Lee Du-seok publishes an autobiography describing all his murders in great detail. Detective Choi, who investigated Lee’s murders 15 years ago starts the chase once again and Han Ji-soo, who lost her daughter to Lee, pledges vengeance. Meanwhile, another killer appears, casting doubt to whether Lee is the real serial killer. The key here is how well the story juggles the truth and how solid the description of the characters’ tangled relationships is.

Confession of Murder Full Movie Review:
A good South Korean thriller with a fantastic premise, but ultimately brought down by its over-the-top action sequences. Its really too bad the director though the movie needed more ‘action scenes’, when the suspense and storyline provides more than ample amount of excitement! South Korea is proving to be one of the most exciting filmmakers in the world, but this entry just barely lives up to that title. There are FAR more exciting and well put together SK movies out there, such as, ‘Oldboy’, ‘Memories of Murder’, ‘Mother’, ‘I Saw The Devil’, and quite a bit more.
